Movement Education

Holistic Philosophy

Text Box: More than a passive bodywork, a Rolfing® series will give you skills and exercises that will allow you to bring the benefits of your sessions into your daily activities.
Typically, this is accomplished in a ten-session basic series. Each session builds upon the previous session, resulting in a cumulative effect with transformative potential.
Working together at a rate your body dictates, we will cultivate increased flexibility and economy of movement.
Text Box: Rolfers® treat the body gently, with integrity and as a whole. While Rolfers® work with specific body tissues, we understand that even subtle changes in the body can lead to great changes in the mind, heart, and overall sense of energy.
We strive to find a level of touch that is optimal and effective for each client.
As Rolfers® reorganize, lengthen, and re-integrate the specific tissues, the body self-organizes and integrates toward wholeness and health, thereby re-aligning its structure to allow for efficiency of movement and form.

Text Box: The Rolfing Ten-Series
Text Box: Rolfing® is a complete system of holistic bodywork designed to organize and integrate the soft tissues of the body. When the body is organized this way, joints are in balance and able to function more normally, chronic patterns of stress and pain are released, and a natural lift and equipoise is achieved from the supportive relationships of muscle and bone.

Fascia—The Organ of Form

Text Box: Rolfers® work with connective tissue, particularly on the myofascial network that enwraps every muscle, bone and organ. It is this fascial “web” that determines the positioning of bones and the mobility of joints. Manipulation of this fascia lengthens these tissues, allowing you to feel better, stand taller, and move more gracefully.
